For six years, Sweet Home Coffee showed up every single day.

They crafted beautiful drinks, welcomed their community with open arms, and poured genuine love into everything they did. They built a loyal following on Facebook, 8,000 followers strong, and relied on it to keep their tables full and their drive-thru line moving. For six years, it worked.

But the lack of a website was creating real gaps in their business.

Potential customers searching Google for coffee shops in Robertsdale had nowhere to land. People looking for their menu had to dig through Facebook posts. Anyone wanting to learn the story behind the shop, the heart, the mission, the faith-forward community they had built, had to piece it together from social content. And every single person who found them did so because of a platform Sweet Home Coffee didn't own and couldn't control.

They were also ready to expand what they were doing. They wanted a blog to serve as a ministry touchpoint, a place to share stories of faith and community that went deeper than a social post. They wanted to grow their social media presence in a more strategic, branded way. And they wanted a real home base online that could do for them what six years of hard work had built offline: communicate warmth, welcome, and a place where you belong.

That is a lot for a website to do. But that is exactly what a strategic website is built for.

When I sat down to design Sweet Home Coffee's site, one thing was non-negotiable: it had to feel like walking through their front door. Warm. Welcoming. Community-centered. Faith-forward. The kind of place where you exhale the moment you arrive.

Their brand had so much personality and heart already built into it, and our job was to translate that into every corner of the website.

Here is what we built:

A Website That Reflects Who They Actually Are

Sweet Home Coffee is not a generic coffee shop with a generic website. They are a locally owned, faith-rooted gathering place in Baldwin County, Alabama, where regulars are greeted by name, where Bible studies happen over lattes, and where the whole vision behind the business is creating a space where people feel like family. The website needed to say all of that before a visitor ever read a single word about their menu.

We built a site that led with their story and their heart, so that anyone who found them through Google would immediately understand not just what they sell, but who they are and why it matters.

A Menu That's Easy to Find and Easy to Love

Before their website launched, finding Sweet Home Coffee's menu meant scrolling through Facebook or hoping a third-party site had it updated. We gave their menu a real, dedicated home on their site, easy to find, easy to navigate, and beautifully presented in a way that makes you want to order before you even arrive.

A Blog as a Ministry Platform

This is one of my favorite things about this project. Sweet Home Coffee has always been more than a coffee shop. It is a ministry. A gathering place. A spot where God shows up in small, sweet ways every single day, and their customers notice and talk about it. Their blog gives them a platform to share that story more intentionally, to go deeper than a social post allows, and to reach people who are searching for more than just a good cup of coffee.

Social Media Strategy on Retainer

Beyond the website, Sweet Home Coffee came to me on a monthly retainer for social media support. Together we worked to make their social presence more strategic, more on-brand, and more consistent, so that the personality and warmth of the shop comes through clearly in every post. Social media will always be part of their presence. The goal was just to make sure it was working smarter and pointing people back to something they own.


The Results: Page One on Google and a Lead Source They Actually Own

Here is where the story gets really good.

Sweet Home Coffee now ranks on page one of Google for their target keywords, showing up in the top two spots for "coffee shops Robertsdale Alabama" just below their own Facebook page. That means when someone in or passing through Baldwin County searches for a coffee shop, Sweet Home Coffee shows up front and center, twice.

Search has become their top traffic source for their website. Not Facebook. Not Instagram. Google. Organic, owned, algorithm-proof traffic that finds them every single day without a single ad dollar spent.

After six years of relying entirely on borrowed traffic from social media, they now have a digital foundation they actually own. A website that tells their story, showcases their menu, houses their ministry blog, and shows up on page one of Google for the people who are already looking for exactly what they offer.
